We truly live in historic times.
We don’t have to read the news too much to see that our world is in chaos. Most of the things Jesus described in Matthew 24 are happening this very moment; sickness and disease causing crippling fear, disastrous weather that’s breaking records, wickedness being exposed almost on a regular basis, the list goes on and on! This chaos is shifting the Church - Christ’s beautiful Bride – either closer to Him or pushing some further away. Now, more than ever, our faith is being challenged, stretched and pushed to its limits.
When we were asked to lead this school, we were excited at the prospect of inviting fellow brothers and sisters into a deeper relationship with God in desperate times like this. Then as we prayed, the very first thing God said to us was “encounters.” That this school will be marked with beautiful encounters with our Living God. Some might be weary of the idea of encountering God for fear of dishonouring Him by emotionally hyping up the gospel. That’s not what God is talking about here. He’s talking about connecting with Him in such profound ways that we are transformed in our whole being – spiritually, emotionally and physically. We can just look at the many stories of people in the Bible whose one encounter with God changed their life dramatically – Moses, Jacob, Mary, Paul, so many men and women of the faith who we admire! We’ll chat further about this topic in the school, but for now, we pray you hear God’s heart and His desires for this school. That those who’ve maybe just dipped their feet in the river of God will go deeper (check out Ezekiel 47 and Revelation 22). For me, it was encounters with Him that moved my faith from being a boring religious duty to a thriving relationship. And God wants to meet you with the power of His Presence and His Word, He wants to meet you wherever you’re at in your faith and show you where your place is in this world of chaos.
Our world, at its core, is deeply hurting and broken. What a precious thing it is to set aside time in life to allow God to go deep in us, heal and train us in every way possible, so we can go into this world and be His hands and feet to the broken and hurting...doing what He sent His first disciples to do:
So we invite you on this journey with us, and cannot wait to partner with God in seeing His destiny for you unfold. We welcome you to contact us directly with any questions you may have, and see below for the practical details of this school.
